Paper crafting is fun and easy and only involves cutting and gluing some paper and a few appliqués and ribbon. You can create a special Valentine memory using our instructions below along with a favorite photo taken around the holiday for sweethearts. Make one for yourself and one for your special someone to have forever. Try making several different styles, and with all the different types of paper in craft stores now, the possibilities are endless.

MATERIALS:
1 yd. Wrights® 1" Wide Lt. Pink Organdy Ribbon (#222-385-902)
1 pkg. Wrights® Pink Medium Rick Rack (#117-401-061)
2 pkgs. Wrights® Heart Flower Appliqués (#193-1311-001)
1 pkg. Wrights® Double Heart Appliqué (#193-1246-001) (For back)
1 pkg. Wrights® Lace and Flower Appliqué (#193-2460-001)
1 8" x 10" Pink Card Stock Weight Paper
1 4" x 8" piece of Decorative Vellum
1 2" x 2" (approx.) Small Valentine Photo (To fit heart shape)
-- Small Peel and Stick Letters
-- Double Faced Tape
-- Decorative Paper Scissors
Pattern
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Print and cut out pattern from cardstock.
  2. Fold on dotted lines and cut 1" long slits where indicated.
  3. Cut one piece of vellum, 7 1/2" x 3 1/2", tape into middle section (rectangle).
  4. Cut two pieces of pink card stock 1" x 3", glue into side sections. (See photo for placement.)
  5. Cut four pieces of pink rick rack 3 1/2" long. Glue in center square at edges. (Hint: Don't worry about finishing the raw ends, just butt them.)
  6. Glue one heart/flower appliqué over each corner, covering the ends of the rick rack.
  7. Glue lace and flower appliqués onto the top section of each half heart. (See photo for placement.)
  8. Starting at the bottom points of half heart shapes (on the back), glue rick rack with center at edges, so only points of rick rack show from front of card.
  9. Lace ribbon, starting from the left front slit, through the back coming out the slit at the opposite side. Pull to even out ends.
  10. Glue felt double heart felt appliqué over the center of ribbon onto back of card to hold the ribbon in place.
  11. Cut photo into heart shape.
  12. Cut a piece of pink card stock at least 1/2" larger all around, glue photo to it.
  13. Cut pink card stock around photo with decorative scissors allowing 1/4" of pink paper showing. Tape into place. (See photo for position.)
  14. Using Peel and Stick letters, write your personal message onto side panels, (we wrote "I LOVE YOU!").
  15. Fold and close valentine along lines and tie ribbon in bow to secure.
  16. Give to someone you love. Watch them Enjoy!
