On this special day for the "wearing of the green" we made a photo card from a blank greeting card by just getting creative and adding some green accents.

Whether you're Irish or not (as everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick's day), you'll be celebrating this holiday by wearing some green clothing or a flower. So have someone take your photo to create a memory keepsake. This card can be such a neat gift to give your favorite Irish person after all the fun!

Or just make this a very special keepsake of your favorite Leprechaun!

MATERIALS:
1 pkg. Wrights® White Jumbo Rick Rack (117-402-030)
1 pkg. Wrights® Emerald Jumbo Rick Rack (117-402-044)
1 pkg. Wrights® Shamrock Appliqués (193-3542-001)
1/2 yd. Wrights® 3/8" Green Ribbon
1/3 yd. Wrights® 3/8" White Satin Ribbon
-- Sheet of Green Decorative Paper
-- 4" x 6" Pre-Made Photo Card
-- 4" x 6" Photo
-- White Glue or Cool Melt Gun
-- Craft Knife
INSTRUCTIONS:

Important: When using white glue, dry thoroughly between each step.

  1. Cut a 4" x 6" piece from green paper and glue onto the front of the photo card, covering the entire front.
  2. Turn card to inside and cut out oval for photo (use a craft knife as you are cutting through both thicknesses).
  3. Measure around the oval opening. Cut one piece each of the emerald and white rick rack to this measurement.
  4. Glue the emerald rick rack around the oval. (Begin and end at the top center of the oval).
  5. Repeat step 4 with the white rick rack, alternating the points so that the emerald shows.
  6. Cut a 4" piece from the remaining emerald and white rick rack.
  7. Glue emerald rick rack, to both sides of the frame, then the white over it (again alternating the points so both colors show).
  8. Glue appliqués to the bottom corners of card (see photo for placement).
  9. Cut a 7" piece of flower dobby ribbon. Center it along the top edge of card and glue in place. You will have 1/2" remaining on each side.
  10. Turn card to inside and glue the remaining ends here.
  11. Make a double layered, two loop bow with the green and white ribbon. Tie off center with the green ribbon.
  12. Glue onto the top center of the oval.
  13. Glue photo to the backside of the oval.
  14. Enjoy!
