Baby's First Easter BasketBaby's First Easter Basket

Decorate baby's first Easter Basket and then keep it in the nursery as a hold-all for necessities.

Simply follow our directions and use the coordinated trims, cords and ribbons to custom decorate the basket. Then, fill with soft toys and decorative eggs, (which can be used on an Easter tree later), and use again each year - or use all year to store things!

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Glue butterfly pleat over handle of basket (refer to project photo).
  2. Hot glue gathered edge of ruffled eyelet to rim of basket. Begin and end gluing ruffle where handle joins. Fold under final end of ruffle 1/2" and glue over beginning end to hide raw edge. (Helpful hint: All baskets are not the same circumference. Measure the circumference of your basket and add 2" to the total. This will allow you to fold back the final end 1/2" and hide the beginning raw end.)
  3. Repeat step 2 using 2 1/2" eyelet.
  4. Repeat step 2 using puffball trim.
  5. Make two bows using iris and yellow ribbons (approximately one yard of each color per bow).
  6. Tie or hot glue bows to handle of basket, covering trim seams (refer to project photo for placement).
  7. Hot glue pieces of silk ivy and flowers into each bow.
  8. Fill bottom of basket with shredded mylar or grass.
  9. Fill basket with ornaments and stuffed animals.
  10. Enjoy!
