Easter Memory EggEaster Memory Egg

Create a lasting memory of your favorite bunny with our rick rack trim and ribbon! Place it in a prominent spot to show it off this year, then hang it on your egg tree or in your spring wreath next year! Start making one each year and have a whole history of the family to create an Easter Family Tree!

You can use any combination of Wrights trims and ribbons to make a style suiting the person whose photo you are enclosing in the egg.

MATERIALS:
1 pkg. Wrights® Rainbow Jumbo Rick Rack (#117-404-001)
9" Wrights® Purple 7/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (#219-145-9064)
12" Wrights® Spring Green 3/8" Flower Dobby Ribbon (#222-1011-054)
1 Clear Plastic Egg that Separates
-- Easter Grass (We Used Metallic Purple)
1 3 1/2 " x 5" Photo (We Used a Color Copy)
1 8" x 10" Piece of White Card Stock
-- White Glue
-- Scissors
-- Pencil

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cut a 7/8" x 8" strip of card stock for stand.
  2. Glue purple grosgrain ribbon onto paper strip, folding 1/2" excess on each end onto the back of the paper strip; glue.
  3. Cut a 9" piece of rick rack and glue down the center of strip over purple grosgrain. Fold over excess and glue as in step 2.
  4. Roll finished paper strip into a circle, overlapping 1/2" and glue, forming egg stand.
  5. Using the outside edge of egg as a template, draw outline of the oval onto your card stock. Cut away approximately 1/4" from the pencil line, making oval shape small enough to fit inside of the egg.
  6. Using the shape you made in step 5, center photo onto oval, draw outline, and cut to fit.
  7. Center and glue photo to the card stock (Hint: Glue only on the outer edge of the photo).
  8. Starting at the top of the photo, glue rick rack around entire edge of egg, leaving 1" excess at the top.
  9. Fill back half of egg with Easter grass.
  10. Lay your finished photo on top of Easter grass. Glue excess rick rack onto the top backside of the egg to hold photo in place.
  11. Snap egg halves together (cut off excess Easter grass around seam line if any sticks out).
  12. Starting at the top of the egg, glue double row of rick rack onto the seam line of the egg, to hold it together.
  13. Tie a small bow with green ribbon & glue to top of egg. Set egg on stand.
  14. ENJOY!
