INSTRUCTIONS:
- Apply double sided adhesive to cardboard. Trim all excess adhesive from edge of board. Pull protective paper from adhesive.
- Lay the wrong side of fabric over adhesive and press firmly (Ironing the piece of fabric first can eliminate wrinkles).
- Transfer bunny and egg pattern to fabric and cut out.
- Cut Chinese Braid into one 18" piece and one 12" piece.
- Begin to glue 18" braid to bunny starting under his chin. Fold braid in half and sandwich edge of ornament between braid as you glue. (You will be gluing one edge of the braid to the back and one edge of the braid to the front of your ornament).
- Continue to trim entire outer edge of ornament. Cut end.
- Glue final end and press firmly to ornament.
- Glue braid on egg in same manner, beginning at top of egg.
- Cut Double Face Satin Ribbon into two 12" pieces.
- Tie a bow with satin ribbon then glue one under chin of bunny and one to top of egg to hide raw ends of braid.
- Glue pom pom to tail of bunny (see photo).
- Cut the cord into two equal pieces.
- Tie the ends of each piece into a knot, forming a loop (for hanger).
- Glue knot to back of ornament.
- Enjoy!

HINT:
Sometimes braids and trims are not available in the colors we need.
This braid may be tinted to match your fabric using watercolors.
Saturate braid with water and lightly brush on your color. Allow the
color to spread naturally over the braid giving the trim a hand dyed
appearance. Let dry thoroughly before using on your project. This technique is not colorfast and should only be used for craft projects that will not be dry-cleaned or washed. |
