INSTRUCTIONS:
- Cut one piece of black quilted fabric 8" x 17".
- Fold in half, wrong side together (size will be 8" x 8 1/2").
- Top stitch across the folded side.
- Sew the three raw edges together.
- Cut two strips of flame Bondex (1 3/8" x 5").
- Center and iron one strip of flame Bondex across the topstitched edge. It will be 1/2" short on each side. This will be the outside of the glass case (see photo).
- Line up the second piece of flame Bondex directly over the ribbon, fold 1/4" over the edge of the ribbon to the underside, enclosing the raw edge. Iron in place.
- Iron remaining strip of Bondex over ribbon.
- Center and pin the other end of the ribbon to outside of case on the raw edge; stitch (ribbon will lay freely down center of the case).
- Open bias tape and fold 1/2" under for a clean finish. Sandwich and pin the three raw edges of case between bias tape, folding under 1/2" at this end the same as the beginning edge.
- Lay case down, inside facing up. Fold the bottom (bias taped edge) up 2 1/2", pin and sew sides. This becomes the pocket for the glasses.
- Cut two strips of Bondex, 1/2" x 2 1/2".
- Iron down strips directly on top of the bias tape on the sides of th pocket (see photo).
- Place two hook and loop dots under ribbon flap, and place matching dots onto the ribbon on inside pocket.
