Your holidays will go over with a bang with this wonderful centerpiece.
MATERIALS:
2 1/2 yds. Wrights® 1 1/2" Sheer Red Wired Ribbon (#227-4739-065)
2 1/2 yds. Wrights® 1 1/2" Sheer Blue Wired Ribbon (#227-4739-050)
4 yds. Wrights® 1/8" Red Wired Frizette Cord (#184-5045-065)
4 yds. Wrights® 1/8" Gold Wired Frizette Cord (#184-5045-046)
1 2" x 2" x 4" Green Styrofoam
-- 12" x 12" Patriotic Fabric
2 Small Flags
-- Invisible Thread
18" 18 Gauge Wire
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cover block of foam with patriotic fabric. Set aside.
  2. Align red and white wired ribbon on sewing machine surface, long sides overlapped slightly.
  3. Sew entire length of ribbon with zig zag stitch to pull two ribbons together.
  4. Follow steps 2 and 3 to attach blue ribbon to white ribbon.
  5. Tie bow (See photo)
  6. Hot glue bow to block of foam.
  7. Cut 4 pieces of red cord and 8 pieces of gold cord, 10 inches long.
  8. Wrap 1 piece of cord around a pencil to make curl.
  9. Take curled cord off pencil and stretch open to 5 inches.
  10. Repeat step 8 and 9 for all cord.
  11. Align four curls and tie in the middle with wire. Arrange curls to create sparklers. (See photo)
  12. Wrap extra cord around wire.
  13. Repeat steps 11 and 12 for a total of 3 fireworks.
  14. Hot glue fireworks into bow or styrofoam. (See photo)
  15. Make longer curly cues with remaining cord and glue into bow.
  16. Hot glue flags into styrofoam.
  17. Enjoy!
