INSTRUCTIONS:
For the Board
- Lay the fusible sheet on the work surface with the rough or fusible side up and the paper covered side down.
- Cut 8 strips each of the black and red hem tape into 15" long strips.
- Beginning with the black, lay them side by side vertically, pinning them in place at the top (see illus. 1).
- With the red strips, begin weaving horizontally through the black ones, alternating the starting point so that you have a basket weave effect, with all the colors alternating vertically and horizontally. Line them up as close to each other as you can (see illus. 2).
- With the iron on hot and dry, begin to iron the strips in place.
- When you have all the strips woven, turn the woven "board" over and remove the paper from the underside.
- Take your piece of fabric and fuse to the underside of the "board".
 - Using a piece of the extra wide double fold bias tape, glue around the edges for a clean finish and to help attach the loose ends.
For the Checkers
- Cut 12 strips each of the red and black extra wide double fold bias tape.
- Begin rolling these strips up, glueing or taping as you go.
- To end these round checkers with a clean finish, simply turn back the last raw edge and tape in place.
- To make the checkers stay in place on the board, simply coat the bottom of the checkers with a small amount of the "Tack It Over & Over" (follow the bottle instructions for use).
To Finish
 - Take the bias tape, fold it in half and glue the fold to the backside of the board. When not using the board, simply leave the checkers in place on the board, roll it up, wrap the bias tape around it, tie it in a bow and pack it away in your tote or beach bag.
- Enjoy!
