INSTRUCTIONS:
- Cut grosgrain ribbon in half.
- Fold over one end of each piece of ribbon 1/4" and glue for a clean end finish.
- Position the unfinished end of one piece of ribbon in the center of one side of the bottom of the box, so that the folded end laps over the beginning end.
- Repeat step 3 with the other piece of ribbon around the sides of the cover.
- Cut two 24" pieces of jute trim (Hint: when cutting a braid or fringe, always wrap with a piece of tape first, then cut through the tape).
- Remove tape from one end of each piece of jute. Fray approximately 1" (to fray, simply "comb" the braid out).
- Center jute trim over the ribbon, starting with the non frayed end, (start at the end opposite from where you started with the ribbon). Glue, leaving the frayed end loose.
- Repeat for the bottom and the cover of the box.
- Glue shells over frayed area of jute. See photo.
Top of Box
- Glue corners of photo to top of box.
- Tape ends and cut two 4 1/2" pieces of jute trim.
- Glue jute trim along top and bottom of photo. See photo.
- Cut two, 5 1/4" pieces of jute trim. Remove tape and fray 1/2" on each end.
- Glue frayed jute trim to both sides of photo, overlapping and hiding the taped ends of side trim.
- Artfully arrange some of your treasures to the jute trim and glue down.
- You are now ready to fill the box with memories. ENJOY!
