INSTRUCTIONS (for bottom of acorn):
 - Cut 1/3 of the top of the egg off using a butter knife or craft knife (see illustration 1).
- Remove all bias tape from package.
- Open folded edges of bias tape and iron flat.
- Pin end of bias tape over cut edge of egg.
- Wrap bias tape around egg until tape goes around perimeter of egg one time (see illustration 2). HINT: Stretch slightly to fit around curve. Use common pins as you go to keep bias tape in place.
- Continue to wrap bias tape around egg, overlapping side edges as you go.
- Cut final end at flat top of egg and pin.
- Pull crocheted cap (instructions below) over flat top of egg. The cap should fit snugly.

INSTRUCTIONS (for crocheted cap):
- Rd 1: Ch 6, sl st to beginning of row.
- Rd 2: Sc 10 times into center. Sl st to beg, ch 1.
- Rd 3: Sc around row, sl st, ch 1 (10 sts)
- Rd 4 & 5: Rep row 3. (Will begin to curl up)
- Rd 6: 2 sc in each st, sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 7: * sc in 1 st, 2 sc in next st. Repeat from * around row, sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 8: Sc around row, sl st, ch 1. (28 stitches).
- Rd 9: Rep row 7. (40 stitches).
- Rd 10: Sc around row. Sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 11: *Sc in 2 sts, skip 1 st, repeat from * around row. Sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 12: *Sc in 3 sts, 2 sc in 1 st, repeat from * around row. Sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 13: Sc around row. Sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 14: *Sc in 2 sts, skip 1 st, repeat from * around row. Sl st, ch 1.
- Knot and tuck in end.
