INSTRUCTIONS:
- Print out the front and the back of the Piper Pattern.
- Sandwich card stock between the front and back, glue. NOTE: be sure the tops and bottoms are facing the right way.
- Following outside edges, cut all three layers of pattern.
- Using the photograph for reference, carefully cut and glue trims to the ornament as follows:
- Glue the Wine Gimp to the two sides of the vest, which can easily be reached.
- Position and glue the Gold Scroll Braid on the cuffs of his shirt. Note: the one on the right will have to be "gathered" a little to make it fit and give it the right perspective.
- Cut and glue two of the Flat Pearls on his vest as buttons.
- Cut a small piece of the Baby Rick Rack and place over the band on his hat.
- Glue the Silver Double E Loop around the outside border, starting and ending at the hole.
- Cut two pieces of the Flat Silver Soutache Cord to fit the two lengths of the flute. NOTE: When cutting this cord, wrap the ends with clear tape and cut close to the end, leaving the tape on it, then glue it down. To position it on the actual flute, place it even with the bottom of the flute itself, leaving the holes at the top visible and uncovered. ALSO NOTE: one piece of cord for the flute is glued over the border trim, emphasizing the 3-D effect of the flute.
- Cut a 6" piece of the Gold Cord for the hanger (same as on the Drummer) and loop it through the hole and knot it!
- Enjoy!
NOTE: Use as much or as little of the trim; it's up to you. Remember, the more trimmed details, the more 3-D the figure will appear to be! |
