"On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, two turtle doves" ...and hooray, we are finally down to the next to the last of our gifts.

As you can see, our turtle dove is in full flight and carrying an olive branch in his beak as a peace offering. We've dressed the wings with an iridescent glow emulating snow and put a pearl swag on our dove to dress up a bit for the holiday. And two is such a small amount, quick to make and easy too!

MATERIALS FROM YOUR "STASH": (Makes one ornament)
7" Wrights® Iridescent Medium Rick Rack (#117-427-001)
14" Wrights® Rainbow Metallic Medium Rick Rack (# 117-429-001)
7 Wrights® Half Pearls (# 174-8590-810)
6" Wrights® Gold Metallic Cord (#183-5012-046)
1 8" x 8" Card Stock
-- Small Sharp Scissors
-- Fabric Glue

Pattern
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Print out the front and the back of the Pattern.
  2. Sandwich card stock between the front and back, glue. NOTE: be sure the tops and bottoms are facing the right way.
  3. Following outside edges, cut all three layers of pattern.
  4. Using the photograph for reference, carefully cut and glue trims to the ornament as follows:
  5. Glue rainbow metallic rick rack around entire frame, starting and ending at the top over the hole.
  6. Cut iridescent rick rack into three pieces approximately 1 3/4", 2" and 3".
  7. Fray one end of rick rack so it will appear to be feathers.
  8. Glue these pieces over the top of the wings and tail. NOTE: the frayed ends go over the trim on the frame.
  9. Glue the half pearls in a swag from one wing end to the other (See photo for placement).
  10. Tie the gold cord through the hole in the top in a loop, creating the hanger.
  11. ENJOY!
NOTE: Use as much or as little of the trim; it's up to you. Remember, the more trimmed details, the more 3-D the figure will appear to be!
