INSTRUCTIONS:
- Print out the front and the back of the Pattern.
- Sandwich card stock between the front and back, glue. NOTE: be sure the tops and bottoms are facing the right way.
- Following outside edges, cut all three layers of pattern.
- Using the photograph for reference, carefully cut and glue trims to the ornament as follows:
- Cut six tassels from the header. Glue them randomly over the nest, three to the left and three to the right.
- Cut two pieces of iridescent rick rack, a measure of 8 points.
- Put a dot of glue 1" apart and all the way down the length of the rick rack.
- Begin rolling the rick rack up to create an egg shape, until it is all wound. Glue the end down securely.
- Repeat steps 7 and 8 for a total of two eggs.
- Place the two "eggs" in the nest, partially hidden by the fringe.
- Glue the rose gimp on the wings of the goose, following the outline of the wings.
- Slip the gold cording through the hole at the top and tie to make a looped hanger.
- Starting at the top, glue the jumbo rick rack to the edge, framing the entire ornament. NOTE: at the bottom, the jumbo rick rack will glue over the fringe/tassels.
- Enjoy!
NOTE: Use as much or as little of the trim; it's up to you. Remember, the more trimmed details, the more 3-D the figure will appear to be! |
