    Head & Neck

  3. Center the 24 pieces of the 36" bias strips over the top of the styrofoam ball evenly covering the surface.
  4. Smooth down strips to neck and secure with a rubber band. This forms the head and neck. The head will be slightly pointed (see illustration at right).

    IllustrationArms & Hands

  5. Put 17 pieces of the 18" bias strips together with ends even.
  6. Secure with rubber bands 1" from each end. The arms and hands are now made.

    Body

  7. Separate the 48 pieces that were created in the head and neck assembly into front and back sections.
  8. Insert the arms and secure by tying off in the back with the remaining piece of bias tape. This creates the waist (see illustration at right).

    IllustrationFinishing the Body

  9. Glue small pieces of bias tape around the wrist and neck to cover the rubber bands. This completes the basic body of your Bias Tape Doll.
