INSTRUCTIONS:
- With brown yarn, ch 6, sl st to beginning of row.
- Rd 2: Sc 10 times into center. Sl st to beg, ch 1.
- Rd 3: Sc around row, sl st, ch 1 (10 sts)
- Rd 4 & 5: Rep row 3. (Will begin to curl up)
- Change to green yarn.
- Rd 6: 2 sc in each st, sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 7: * sc in 1 st, 2 sc in next st. Repeat from * around row, sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 8: Sc around row, sl st, ch 1. (28 stitches).
- Rd 9: Rep row 7. (40 stitches).
- Rd 10: * sc in 2 sts, skip 1 st, repeat from * around row. Sl st, ch 1. (26 stitches).
- Rd 11: Sc around row. Sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 12: Skip 1 st every 4th sc. Sl st, ch 1. (22 stitches).
- Stuff base of tree.
- Rd 13: Rep row 11.
- Rd 14: Skip 1 st every 5th sc, sl st, ch 1. (18 stitches).
- Rd 15: Work even in sc, sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 16: Rep row 14.
- Rd 17: Work even.
- Rd 18: Rep row 14.
- Stuff as you progress.
- Rd 19: Work even. (12 stitches).
- Rd 20: Repeat row 12.
- Rd 21: Work even.
- Rd 22: Skip every 3rd st, sl st, ch 1.
- Rd 23: Work even.
- Rd 24: Skip every other stitch, sl st.
- Stuff tip well.
- Sl st 2 sts at top and pull yarn thru. Tuck in end.
- Glue one end of each chenille stem together and curve to fit around tree as shown. Push end at top back into crochet to anchor and at bottom back of tree. Glue large pompom at top.
- Make small bows from white rick rack, about 8 or 9, and one with longer tails for front top. Glue bows in place where desired and glue on gold beads as shown. Cut off stems of berries and glue in place.
