Gift Mitten

Here's a twist on hanging your sock by the mantle with care. We've got a mitten to hang there in hopes that Santa will fill it with goodies! It is so easy to make and decorate, with the Gingerbread Man all trimmed with rick rack icing! Make one or a few and hang them all in a row by the fireplace with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas will fill them with many wonderful things.

MATERIALS:
1 pkg.	Wrights^® White Medium Rick Rack (#117-401-030)
1 pkg.	Wrights^® White Baby Rick Rack (#117-400-030)
6"	Wrights^® Red Ribbon (#223-720-065)
1 yd.	Red Felt or two 8" x 10" squares
1	4" x 6" Tan Felt
3	Buttons
2	Half Pearls
--	Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:

Using the mitten pattern, cut two pieces of red felt.
Place them right sides together. Stitch or glue using a 1/4" seam allowance.
Turn right side out.
From the remainder of the felt, cut a piece 1" x 7".
Glue each end of this piece into the inside, top of the mitten, creating the hanger. (See photo for placement).
Outline the shape of the mitten with medium rick rack, gluing in place.
Cut the gingerbread man from the tan felt, using the pattern provided.
Glue two half pearls in place for his eyes. (See photo for placement).
Glue buttons down the front.
Tie the narrow red ribbon into a bow, glue to his neck.
Outline the entire shape of the gingerbread man with baby rick rack, gluing in place.
Cut a small piece of baby rick rack and glue into position for mouth.
Glue gingerbread man to front of mitten.

Hang by the mantle and Enjoy!
