Beaded/Fringe Silk Scarf The scarf is still the most important accessory in fashion. It is so easy to wear, either tied (or not) around the neck or as a sash around the waist. Add some instant style and bling to your wardrobe! Make it in a neutral color to go with anything. You too can wear it so many ways — around the neck (as Lindsey is doing here), around the waist, over a shirt as an obi sash, or however your imagination and fashion sense tells you. Team it up with some beaded shoes and you're ready for anything! (Click on image for larger view)

INSTRUCTIONS: Photo 1 Cut two pieces of fabric 5 3/4" wide. Cut 38" from both pieces. Sew right sides together with the 5 3/4" wide ends. Iron out center seam. Fold scarf in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Iron. Open scarf and arrange beads in straight lines at each end of the scarf, on one side (See photo 1 for placement). Sew down. Cut two, 2 1/2" pieces of fringe. Photo 2 Place header of trim at one end of scarf with fringe hanging down over beads. Sew in place (See photo 2). Repeat step 6 with opposite end of scarf. Fold scarf in half lengthwise right sides together. Pin and sew ends and sides leaving a 4" opening at the center seam. Turn scarf out through the opening. Iron on back side of scarf. Hand sew opening with blind stitch. Enjoy!
