Spring Jeans

More ways to decorate your own jeans...just add some coordinated chenille rick rack, cording and appliqués. You can almost imagine the flowers growing and the butterflies fluttering on the jeans leg.

MATERIALS:
2 yds.	Wrights^® White Chenille Rick Rack (#189-7131-030)
2 yds.	Wrights^® Pink Chenille Rick Rack (#189-7131-022)
2 yds.	Wrights^® Grape Chenille Rick Rack (#189-7131-920)
1 yd.	Wrights^® Chenille Cord "Lace Ups" (#189-6336-061)
2 pkgs.	Wrights^® Chenille Butterfly Appliqué (#193-6590)
2 pkgs.	Wrights^® Chenille Floral Appliqué (#196-654-0)
1 pkg.	Wrights^® Chenille Floral Appliqué (#196-655-0)
4 pkgs.	Wrights^® Chenille Floral Appliqué (#196-694-0)
--	Iron, Fabric Glue, Sewing Machine or Fusing Tape, Marking Device

INSTRUCTIONS:

Sew the rick rack on the jeans leg (you may also fuse or use a fabric glue). Affix one row under the hem of the legs so that half of the rick rack is showing (see photo on right).
Leave a space of approximately 3" and apply the second row of rick rack.
Leaving another space of about 1 1/2", apply the third row of rick rack.
Following the directions on the package, iron on the floral appliqués between row one and two of the rick rack. (See Photo for positioning).
Using a tailor's chalk or a disappearing ink pen, mark the winding lines for the cord (simulating a vine).
With fabric glue, apply the cord to the leg.
Iron the rest of the appliqués in position.
Your Spring Jeans are now ready to go anywhere! Enjoy!
