With the holidays over and the winter blahs setting in, you may look around the house and realize you want to make some changes.

You can make a great window treatment EASILY with just the addition of a cornice. Cover and trim a reusable cornice to hang over any window that needs a new look.

Wrights Denim Cornice-close upSimply follow the directions on the package for the EZ Cornice, cover with your own fabric and use our ideas to either make the denim one for a rec room or a teenagers room, and the printed one for a more elegant look...just follow our photos for some suggestions.

Look for these cornices to be on the Carol Duvall Show on HGTV.

MATERIALS:
-- Assorted Wrights® Ribbons and Trims
1 EZ Cornice Package
-- Fabric of Choice
INSTRUCTIONS:
    Wrights Cornice with Jabot
  1. Denim (see photo above): Just fuse row upon row of ribbons and trims to a strip of fabric (HINT: The same trims used to trim jeans can be used here very well.)
  2. Elegant (see photo at right): Just place corded piping into the pleated rows of fabric covered foam, pin in the back, glue on a few strips of guimpe, and make our jabots to attach at each side for a more formal added interest.

  3. The jabots are made by making your own pattern, with a point on one end (ours hang 15" down), sew or glue piping at the edge, close up and turn right side out and then add a tassel for color!! See, it's that easy!!!!!
  4. Hang over your window according to the cornice directions, and enjoy the new fresh look!
  5. Enjoy!
