INSTRUCTIONS:
House Base
 - Open tissue box and remove tissues and protective plastic.
- Open flaps at top of box and cut to form peaks.
- Cut oval opening for "door" (see Illustration 1).
- Cover all sides of box and peaks with adhesive.
- Peel back protective paper along bottom edge of house to expose approximately 1" of adhesive around entire house.
- Place house color bias tape over adhesive, starting and stoping at back corner. Align the folded edge of tape with the bottom edge of the house. This is your first row of siding.
- For next row of siding, lay a second row of bias tape onto adhesive, even with and slightly overlapping the first row.
 - Continue to peel back protective paper from adhesive and apply bias tape to house up to bottom of peaks.
- To do the peaks, apply bias tape one row at a time, extending approximately 1/4" beyond sides.
- Turn peak over, wrong side up, on work surface and trim all excess bias tape from peak edges with craft knife or scissors (see illustration 2).
- Repeat for second peak.
- Trim excess from door opening.
- Cut four strips of house color bias tape the length of the sides of the house, from roof line to foundation (approximately 5").
- Fold bias tape strips in half the long way and finger press.
- Glue folded bias tape to corners of house for trim and to cover raw ends at back corner.
- Cut 4 strips of house color bias tape the length of the sides of the peak (approximately 5 1/2"). Glue bias tape over edges of peak (half on the front and half on the back) to cover raw ends of bias tape and cardboard.
 - Glue window appliqués to house (use photo as your guide).
Roof
- Cut one piece of cardboard 9" x 5 1/2".
- Find center of board (the short way) and make a slight score (see illustration 3).
- Cover one entire side of cardboard with adhesive.
- *Cut roof colored bias tape into 1" pieces. These are the roof "shingles".
- Lay one row of shingles over adhesive along the bottom edge of roof. The cut edge of the shingles should overlap the end of the cardboard (see Illustration 4).
- Continue to lay rows of shingles to the score line of roof (approximately 6 rows). Repeat from (*) for second side of roof.
- Cut two 9" pieces of roof color bias tape.
- Glue strips at side of roof to cover raw ends of shingles (refer to photo).
 - Cut two 6 1/2" strips of roof color bias tape. Glue strips at top edge of roof at score line to cover raw ends of final rows of shingles (refer to photo).
Chimney
- Draw chimney pattern on remaining piece of cardboard and cut out.
- Score cardboard chimney along dotted lines.
- Fold chimney along scored dotted lines.
- Glue tab to the outside wall of chimney.
- Cover chimney with adhesive.
- Cover chimney with brick bias tape using techniques for house.
- Glue chimney to roof.
- Draw lines for bricks.
- Glue braided trim around top of peaks and around the oval "door".
- Cut pieces of bias tape and glue at bottom of windows for flower boxes. Add floral appliques to boxes for added decoration.
For Multi-Story Houses:
- For the bottom floors of the multi-story house, do not open the tissue box for peaks. Follow directions for house, covering to peak, and add trim as in photo.
- Glue several boxes on top of each other for hotel or apartment building.
- Enjoy!
