They're not really NEW, but because we've had many requests from our visitors, we've decided to do a pattern for the Braided Barrettes which were so popular a few years back. Done up in red and green for Christmas (or any color combinations for everyday use), these barrettes will look adorable and so festive in any little girls hair. Make them up in colors to match all your outfits.......or your school colors!!!!

MATERIALS:
1 yd. Wrights® 1/8" Green Double Face Satin Ribbon (#223-720-924)
1 yd. Wrights® 1/8" Red Double Face Satin Ribbon (#223-720-908)
1 Double Bar Barrette (2" long)
INSTRUCTIONS:
    Braided Barette Model
  1. Place the two ribbons one over the other, evenly.
  2. Thread the two ribbons through the barrette and center it at the top end (see illustration 1).
  3. With the two bar side facing you, start braiding the ribbon from one side over the first bar and through the center to the other side (see illustration 2).
  4. Do the same thing with the ribbon from the opposite side, placing it over the first bar and going through the center to the other side (see illustration 3). (Be sure to push it up to the other ribbon and pulling it tight each time).
  5. Repeat these steps until you get to the bottom of the barrette. Then thread the last ribbon through tightly so that all the ribbons end up on the same side, creating the streamers.
  6. Enjoy!
