Easter Egg HolderEaster Egg Holder

Let the kids help decorate the table for Easter with these Easter egg holders. They are quick and easy to make with double sided tape or glue. Let the kids have fun customizing each holder to match their own decorated eggs, using any of Wrights®' brightly colored cords and cute, seasonal appliqués.

MATERIALS:
3 yds. Wrights® 1/8" Green Cording (#289-6145-042)
3 yds. Wrights® 1/8" Purple Cording (#289-6145-051)
3 yds. Wrights® 1/8" Pink Cording (#289-6145-022)
1 pkg. Wrights® Chick Appliqués (#193-7467-001)
1 pkg. Wrights® Gingham Flower Appliques (#193-1399-001)
-- Double Sided Tape
-- Fabric Glue
-- Scotch Tape
-- Real, Plastic or Foam Decorative Eggs

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cut four, 2" pieces of paper towel roll (parental supervision may be required in the cutting process).
  2. Cover each piece with double sided tape (you may use glue for this step). Hint: Before cutting cord, always wrap clear tape around it and cut through the center, leaving each end with tape.
  3. Remove protective paper from double sided tape on one roll and press taped end of pink cording onto one edge.
  4. Wind cord around roll until you reach the top.
  5. Apply a thin bead of glue on top flat edge and cover with cording.
  6. Tape end and trim. Glue down. (Be sure end is on the same side of roll as where you began).
  7. Repeat steps #3 through #6 using the purple and green cording.
  8. For the multicolored striped holder follow the same steps as for all the other colors except wind each color around 4 times.
  9. Decorate each holder by gluing appliqués and gems of your choice to the cord (see photo).
  10. ENJOY!
