INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Transfer house pattern to board of choice.
  2. Cut house from board (including window openings) with craft knife or scissors.
  3. Remove protective paper from one side of adhesive. Cover one side of house with adhesive. Once the house is covered, do not pull protective paper from the second side of adhesive. If using double sided tape, do not overlap adhesive edges.
  4. Illustration 1
  5. Trim excess adhesive from all edges of house and window openings.
  6. Lay house adhesive side up on work surface.
  7. Cut one yard of white single fold bias tape.
  8. Cut entire length of bias tape along folded edge with pinking shears to create sculptured siding. Set aside.
  9. Peel back protective paper along bottom edge of house to expose approximately 1" of adhesive.
  10. Place silver bias tape over adhesive, aligning the folded edge of tape with the bottom edge of the house. Allow the tape to extend beyond sides of house approximately 1/4". This is the first row of "siding".
  11. For next row of siding, lay a second row of bias tape onto adhesive, even with and slightly overlapping the first row.
  12. Continue to peel back protective paper and apply bias tape to house until you have covered entire house (including windows) to peak of roof. Use photo as your guide for placement of sculptured siding and silver siding (see Illustration 1).
  13. Turn house over, wrong side up, and trim all excess bias tape from house edges, windows and roof lines with craft knife or scissors (see Illustration 2). Turn house over to right side.
  14. Illustration 2
  15. Cut two strips of silver bias tape the length of the sides of the house, from roof line to foundation (approximately 5").
  16. Fold bias tape strip in half the long way and finger press.
  17. Glue folded bias tape to edge of house (half on front and around to the back) to cover raw ends of bias tape and cardboard.
  18. Cut two strips of silver single fold bias tape the length of the sides of the roof line (approximately 5").
  19. Follow steps 14 and 15 to finish edges of roof.
  20. Glue window and door appliqués to front of house (see photo).

    Tower

  21. Follow instructions 1 - 15 to cover tower and wing to the roof line.

    Roof (for Tower and Wing)

  22. Cut 1 yard each of black and silver bias tape.
  23. Cut entire length of black and gray bias tape along folded edge with pinking shears to create "sculptured shingles".
  24. Lay one row of sculptured shingles along bottom edge of roof. The cut edge of the shingles should overlap the siding on tower. Allow the shingles to extend beyond sides of tower approximately 1/2".
  25. Continue to lay rows of shingles, slightly overlapping each row, until entire roof is covered (refer to photo for color alignment). Notice that the points on the final row of shingles are in the opposite direction of the previous shingles.
  26. Turn tower over, wrong side up. DO NOT CUT EXCESS TAPE FROM EDGES OF ROOF. Wrap excess black and silver shingles around to wrong side of tower and glue in place. Glue window in place.

    Wings

  27. Follow steps 1 - 23 to finish wing. Be sure to measure sides of wings for trim and cut out window openings.
  28. Glue tower and wing to back of house (see photo for placement).
  29. Enjoy!
