Kids can have fun when they paint and decorate the papier mâché box to go with their room décor. Ours, in hot pink, is trimmed with grape colored chenille rick rack and flowers.

Our box is so easy to do, you'll want to make a bunch to go in every room. Think of the storage it can become!!!

MATERIALS:
1 spl. Wrights® Purple Chenille Rick Rack (#117-432-064)
1 spl. Wrights® Bright Pink Chenille Rick Rack (#117-432-022)
1 spl. Wrights® Pink Shiney Cord (#183-6308-902)
1 Heart Shaped Papier Mâché Box
-- Floral Leaves and Baby's Breath
-- Assorted Color Plastic Beads
-- Hot Pink Acrylic Paint
1 Paint Brush
-- Sewing Needle and Thread
-- Fabric Glue
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Paint Heart Shaped Box both inside and outside. Let dry.
  2. Cut enough Rick Rack and Lace Up Cord to go around outside of box. Glue into place. Illustration 1
  3. Decorate both the bottom and cover of box (see photo). Let dry.

    Rick Rack Flowers

  4. Cut the chenille rick rack approximately 5" long. (Be sure you have four complete points on the top edge and that the cut ends point in opposite directions. (See illustration 1). Illustration 2
  5. Glue rick rack ends together to form rings. (See illustration 2).
  6. Thread needle and sew points on one side of rick rack ring. (See illustration 3).
  7. Cinch together with thread and tie off but do not cut thread.
  8. Repeat steps 4 thru 7 for a total of 5 flowers. NOTE: Alternate between the Bright Pink Rick Rack and the Grape Rick Rack for variety.
  9. Sew three beads to each flower center using existing thread. Tie off thread at back of flower and trim. Illustration 3
  10. Glue rick rack flowers to storage box cover (see photo).
  11. Add floral leaves and baby's breath.
  12. Enjoy!
