INSTRUCTIONS:
- Paint inside and outside of boxes white. Let dry.
Head:
- Cut two, 4" pieces of fur trim. Glue side by side lenghtwise on the top of the box cover. Turn over and trim excess.
- Place cover onto bottom of box.
- Cut 12" strip of fur trim. Starting at the top edge, glue fur around the sides of the box.
- Form hot pink pipe cleaner to (W) shape on the pattern for mouth. Glue onto the face using photo as guide.
- Cut styrofoam ball in half. Glue in place for "cheeks" over mouth.
- Cut black pipe cleaner into four equal parts. Push three pieces into each side of styrofoam halfs.
- Roll one piece of black pipe cleaner into a ball for the nose and glue into place.
- Cut two grey felt eyes from pattern.
- Cut two white felt circles from pattern.
- Assemble and glue eyes using photo as guide. Glue gems onto white felt circles. Glue eyes onto face.
- Cut two grey felt ears from pattern. Glue ears to top of box.
Body:
- Cut three, 6" pieces of fur and glue to top box cover. Turn cover over and trim excess fur.
- Cut 19" piece of fur and glue around the sides of the 6" box cover only. Place the cover onto bottom of box. (Hint: Fur is not glued to the bottom of the 6" box.)
- Cut 1" slot into side of box below the fur line. (Ask an adult for help with this.)
- Glue head to body below fur line using photo as your guide. (Hint: This will allow you to remove the 6" cover.)
Tail:
 - Twist remaining three black pipe cleaners together.
- Cut 12" piece of fur and place twisted pipe cleaners down the center. (This will give the tail body.) Fold fur in half and glue long ends together.
- Glue one end of tail to the bottom back of body. Shape as desired.
- Your bank is ready for your first deposit. All you have to do to retrieve your money is take off the cover on the 6" box. (See photo on right. Click for larger view.) Don't spend it all in one place.
