INSTRUCTIONS:
Set crochet fork to 2" width. Follow instructions for Hairpin Lace (found in our Classroom) and make 6 strips in hairpin lace having 200 lps on each side of fork on each strip.

Joining Strips: Place strips side by side having beginning edge of each strip toward you. Join first 2 strips as follows: working in one twist of each lp, insert crochet hook in first lp of strip to your left, hook first lp of strip to your right and draw lp through lp on hook; *hook next lp of strip to your left and draw lp through lp on hook, hook next lp of strip to your right and draw lp through lp on hook; rep from * until strips are joined. Finish off by sewing last lp on hook to end of joining. Join rem strips in same manner.

Edging: With right side of scarf facing and working in one twist of each lp, use crochet hook and join yarn with a sl st in first lp along either long edge of scarf, ch 1, sc in same lp as joining and in each lp across. Finish off and weave in ends. Work edging along other long edge of scarf in same manner.

Finishing TechniquesFringe: First read instructions for fringe found in our Classroom under Finishing Techniques (or click on the button on the right). Then cut 12" strands of yarn. Use 3 strands for each knot of fringe and tie one knot of fringe at end of each joining, at center of each strip, and at each side edge along each short end of scarf. Trim ends evenly.
