Golf Club Covers

Here's something for your favorite golfer. Our easy to make knitted golf club covers are the ideal gift. Make them in his, or her, favorite colors. Note: the stripes let you know which number club is under the "socks".

MATERIALS:
1 set	Boye^® Knitting Needles (size 6)
1 set	Boye^® Knitting Needles (size 8)
1 set	Boye^® Pom Pon Maker (#7460)
2 skeins	Gray Yarn
1 skein	Black Yarn
	Boye^® Yarn Needle (#7506)
	Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:
GAUGE: 5 sts = 1", 5 rows = 1"

With #6 needles and Main Color (MC), cast on 40 stitches.
K2, P2 for 5 rows.
Attach Contrasting Color (CC) to right side. Knit across row.
(Wrong side) K2, P2 to end of row.
Drop CC and pick up MC
K2, P2 until piece measures 5".
K2 together, P2 together across row (20 sts).
K1, P1 for 3 rows.
Change to size 8 needles.
Increase 1 stitch in every stitch across row (40 sts).
Knit in stockinette stitch for 5".
K2 together across row (20 sts).
P next row.
K2 together across row (10 sts).
Cut yarn leaving about 20" strand.
Thread needle and draw through remaining stitches.
Sew seam.
Make pom pom using the Boye Pom Pon Maker and attach to top.
Make other covers following pattern above and adding contrasting stripes with 2 rows MC between each stripe.
