Bias Tape, the staple product for the home sewer, has been in the Wrights® line since 1897 when Wm. E. Wright pedaled it from a wagon.
Bias Tape is exactly what it implies...fabric cut on a bias (45°) angle, then cut into strips to be sewn into garments and other projects requiring "give", fullness and ease.
Used mainly as a hem tape, seam finish or to edge quilted fabrics, it is also the cover fabric on piping. Bias tape is available in six widths:
Single Fold - 1/2", 7/8" and 1 7/8"
Double Fold - 1/4", 1/2" and 7/8"
Bias tape is available in a wide range of colors and can be found in the traditional wooden floor fixture in all fabric stores and in the craft & fabric department of the major discount department stores nationwide. |
